Sports Day results in two houses tying for first place!
The sunny weather held for our Sports Day on Wednesday 21st June 2023. As per tradition at Sir Robert Geffery’s, the Year 6 children led the multi-skills events for all other year groups in the morning. There were some fantastic balancing, throwing, catching, and ball skills demonstrated and the children had a great time.
In the afternoon, hundreds of parents and grandparents arrived to support the traditional track racing. Determination and resilience was strong and at the end of a well fought out afternoon of inter-house competition, both Tamblyn and Kinvig houses were equal at 264 points each. A final event decider was chosen as a rematch of the popular tug-of-war and Kinvig won it by a whisker!! What a super day of sport – well done everyone.
