The children in the Reception class had a fantastic time on their educational visit to Dartmoor Zoo on Tuesday this week. We value our educational visits very highly at SRG and this trip for the children was part of their learning in their current topic ‘Amazing Animals’. They saw various animals from the big cats family that they had been learning about in the classroom including the tiger, lion and Lynx amongst others animals.
They also took part in a Discovery Workshop, led by experts at the zoo, in which they gained knowledge about where a range of different animals live within the world and how endangered they are. We couldn’t believe how long and scaley the giant Indian Rock Python’s skin was!
