Over the past few days, pupils from Years 4 and 5 have enjoyed two fantastic residential experiences, with Year 5 visiting Barton Hall and Year 4 heading to Dittisham.
Residential trips are such an important part of life at SRG and provide children with opportunities to develop independence, confidence and resilience beyond the classroom. Throughout their time away, pupils embraced new experiences, tackled challenges head-on and demonstrated excellent teamwork and encouragement towards one another. Whether taking part in adventurous outdoor activities, problem-solving as a team or simply sharing new experiences with friends, the children represented the school brilliantly.
One of the most rewarding aspects of residentials is seeing children step outside of their comfort zones and achieve things they may not have thought possible. The sense of accomplishment, enjoyment and pride shown throughout both trips was wonderful to see, and many lasting memories were made along the way.
These opportunities would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our incredible staff team, who go above and beyond to organise, support and lead these experiences for our pupils. Their care, enthusiasm and encouragement help make SRG residentials such a special and valuable part of school life. We are extremely grateful to everyone involved in making both trips such a success.
