Over the last decade, we have worked with our partner school in Uganda called Hillside School, Ikona. Staff have taken part in an exchange visit on different occasions and children communicate with each other between schools through sending letters describing their daily lives and hopes for the future.
Our pupil leadership teams play a key role in helping to run and organise fundraising events for Hillside, such as themed cake sales. Funds raised are sent directly from SRG to the school and used to buy essential equipment such as pencils and workbooks to help the school serve its local population as well as supporting their most vulnerable children in attending school.
