All children, from reception to year 6, showed great maturity and respect on Friday 11th November at the school remembrance service held at the flagpole at the front of the school. Head and Deputy Head boys and girls read names of those from the village who lost their lives fighting in the First, Second and Falklands Wars. We said a prayer for the fallen and Mr Whitaker from the Landrake Band played the Last Post, before children stood in peaceful silence for 2 minutes.
Thank you to the families of the Head and Deputy Head boys and girls who also came along to the St Michael’s Landrake village church service at the war memorial on Sunday. They laid a wreath and two remembrance wooden crosses as they represented the school community.
