Clare Helen Welsh inspires future writers!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Meet the Author Day, where we were lucky enough to be visited by Clare Helen Welsh. Clare delivered an exciting whole school assembly where she read her book Wee? It wasn’t me! We met Lenny the Lemur and Clare talked about her love of using fact as well as fiction when creating stories.
Clare then went on to hold a hands on workshop with Years 5 and 6 to inspire and develop their creative writing skills, before reading her new book, ‘The Space Between’ to Years 3 and 4 where they created their own ‘sunny side up specs’
Finally Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 created their own feelings jars, before all classes were given the chance to visit the ‘Authormobile’.
