In a fantastic initiative led by Mrs Cunningham, the school Eco Committee challenged each class to power down their smart boards and shut their Chromebooks for a morning of unplugged learning. The goal? To explore creative, electricity-free ways to learn—proving that great education doesn’t always need a power source.
Pupils embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. From learning phonics on the trim trail to story mapping during an English session on the school Farm, and hands-on exploration at Forest School, the morning was filled with energy of a different kind.
This inspiring experience showed that, thanks to SRG’s expansive outdoor spaces, learning can thrive both in and beyond the classroom – powered by curiosity, creativity, and a little fresh air.
