Well done to Imogen, Sam and Amelia, who represented our school and its Eco Committee in online discussions with children from across Cornwall on Thursday.
As part of Creation Care, Truro Diocese led a Speak Up training day, during which the children discussed environmental issues that matter to the pupils of SRG and learned how to communicate effectively – through letter writing and presentations – with people in positions of influence, such as councillors and politicians.
They have already put this into action by writing a letter to Bishop David of Truro Cathedral, asking for his support in reducing deforestation and increasing tree planting.
They represented our school brilliantly and showed how strong pupil voice can inspire positive change.
