Today, we were delighted to welcome local environmental author Ellie Jackson to school for a special assembly and reading session with our pupils.
Ellie shared the inspiring real-life animal stories behind her popular Wild Tribe Heroes series, helping children learn about some of the environmental challenges facing wildlife around the world. Through her engaging storytelling, pupils discovered how small actions can make a big difference in protecting our planet.
As an Eco-School, Ellie’s visit perfectly complements our commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability. Her message encourages children to think about how they can care for nature, reduce waste and make positive choices in their everyday lives.
The assembly captured the children’s imagination from start to finish and they were fascinated by the true stories that inspired the books, enthusiastically joining in the discussions about how they can become environmental heroes themselves.
Following the assembly, families had the opportunity to purchase signed copies of the Wild Tribe Heroes books, with Ellie kindly dedicating each copy personally.
We would like to thank Ellie for taking the time to visit our school and for inspiring our children to continue caring for the environment. Her visit was a wonderful reminder that everyone, no matter how young, can play a part in creating a better future for our planet.
