Our Year 5/6 hockey team recently competed in the Plymouth Lions Primary School Tournament at Marjons.
After an outstanding group stage performance braving the torrential showers, playing 7 pool games and losing just once, the team showed incredible character to come through both the quarter-final and semi-final in nail-biting penalty shootouts.
The cup final was another closely fought battle, unfortunately ending in sudden death penalty shootout defeat. While the trophy just slipped away, the players can be immensely proud of their effort, teamwork, resilience and determination throughout the day.
Special shout out to Henry in Year 6 for being awarded boys player of the tournament and Mr Yeoman and Claire for coaching and supporting the children on what was a very wet but brilliant day.
Well done to everyone involved – a fantastic achievement and a day to remember!
